The purpose of our curriculum is to focus on specific areas of academic, social and personal enrichment at each developmental stage. Ideally each student will have an individualized learning plan customized to their specific academic, social, and developmental needs.
Programs:
A GIRLS BEST FRIEND (Mentoring)
o Develop connection and trust
o Provide guidance and support
o Be a good listener
CLARITY (Academic Enrichment)
o Focus on academic enrichment
o Encouraging students to be "in charge" of their education
o Literacy and critical thinking focus
o College preparatory track Getting the "edge" needed for college
SPARKLE (Leadership Development)
o Leadership development program
o Build skills through volunteerism
o Group and one-on-one mentoring
POLISH (Culture Exposure)
o Cultural outings and field trips
o Think live shows, museums, college tours etc.
o Etiquette classes
o Focus on developing poise and how to be prepared for any environment
MADE BY DESIGN (Parental Involvement)
o Parent workshop series:
o How to prepare your student for educational transitions
o How certain behaviors may indirectly affect student success
SHINE (Community Involvement)

What's the time commitment?
4th-5th Grade

2 hours during afterschool every other week

The P.U.R.E. Program is free to all participants.
Transportation if needed and authorized, P.U.R.E. Inc. staff can transport you/scholar to workshops and sessions as needed.
